Chapter Philanthropy and Service

As the Beta Zeta chapter of Tri Delta, we aim to impact communities here in Lexington and all around the world in ways that we could not do without the help of this organisation. Through our partnership with our national philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we are able to raise money through our local events and assist in the fight against childhood cancer.

Since the start of our partnership in 1999, Tri Delta has raised over 93 million dollars to support the work happening at St. Jude. In 2014, Tri Delta committed to raise $60 million in 10 years to aid in the fight against childhood cancers, we hit that goal in just 8 short years! Now we are campaigning to raise $100 million by 2024 in honour of our 25th year of partnership with St. Jude.

Our events that we do here at Transylvania University Include:

  • Pumpkin Mania. (We set up a small booth at Transy's annual pumpkin mania.)
  • Tri Delta Fall Harvest Carnival
  • Tri Hop. (All you can eat pancake event.)
  • Sincerely Yours. (A letter writing philanthropy event.)

This year, our chapter will continue its partnership with our local philanthropy, The Collin Cancer Fund! the Collin Cancer Fund helps kids with cancer through Kids Cancer Alliance. Collin is the son of Dr. Poynter, a professor here at Transy. Dr. Poynter is such a giving person and always puts a smile on everyone's faces. We are excited to continue our partnership with The Collin Cancer Fund and to spread Collins spirit across Lexington!
